I'm just wondering if anybody here thinks much about the way their play influences the game. Sometimes I'll look into a server and Team 1 will be on a 5 round losing streak and I'll join, go 16 and 2, cap few flags, defend a few, and Team 1 will win and I'll think, "man I think I was a serious part of that."

Other times I'll be in a server and I just can't get out of that 8th through 14th place thing.

Just wondering if anyone here is a consistent game changer who swings the momentum when he/she joins a side, and what everyone else thinks of their contribution. It's one stat you really can't track because of the way wins/losses are so skewed...

Im usually 1st on our team, im capping flags, killing people, helping team mates and defending flag.

I'm average on BF2, if this topic were for 2142, then I single-handedly change the outcome of a round.

I help the team win, usually by being a pain in the ass to the enemy. I cap flags, I defend flags, I shoot at or shoot down the enemy chopper, I spot for people, I pop tanks, and I rack up teamwork points fixing stuff and tossing health or ammo around.

Hell, once I even managed to almost single-handedly force a win by sneaking out of the TV station on Sharqi and taking out a bunch of snipers, capping a few flags, and turning the battle around.
The almost was because we lost by 18, instead of the 60-odd we were headed for when I joined.

Normally, I have no influence.

I just kickass over and over again.

Depends on my mood, but most of the time I have influence. I (always) ignore all of the nade spamming and 15 vs 15 firefights (so, again, nade spamming) and go around and cap the rear flags. That shit is just pathetic, pointless and for all the faggots who know nothing else.

Take Devils Perch the other night with RD and Flem. We were SEAL's and had all the flags except on the main island, trying to push your way up that hill against 32players - half of which are sat along the ridges just dropping nades down and commanders arty = uber fail (cept for ma L85 and headshots for them foo's). So we got a RIB and took the steps up to the Asylum (suicide) and almost capped em out from behind - and we won.

Or Gator, where ma HIND and its gunner (preferably RDMC) pin down all of the US onto the viewing deck within the first few minutes of a round with no apache or essex to bother us, and then raping the flight deck. With that, how can the rest of the team fail to land and take at least one flag?
Ditto with Surge where we literally circled the Inner Ridge for the entire game giving RD a lovely 50/1 And our squad, me/RD/Flem finished with the best squad of the entire server - better than a 6man squad on Rebels. With the entire Rebel team trying to take us down (which they only managed once), the rest of Spetz pretty much capped em out.

Very rarely will I not go flag hopping with a squad or pummel down a single, high traffic CP, and Im often the SL so I sit back and act as a spawn point a lot too.

I do my best to help the team. I try to stick with my squad to cap flags, going as medic mostly. And I haven't played Kark in ages.

Because f*ck you that's why.

Seeing as I am on the winning team 85 percent of the time, I would think I would play some small role in helping them win.

Im both, kinda. A lot of times I will get more kills than anyone else in the server, but at the same time, the most deaths

I'm a pretty skilled player, usually in the top 3, but it somehow seems that my presence demoralizes the team lol.

I was once on such a shitty team that was getting baseraped to pieces, then I got sick of it and lamejoined the other team, and what happened? They broke free and took all outposts....

I did fuck all for my team.

I was very much a solo player- I never got on well with clans.

I will make a squad, if people want to join it, fine by me. However, I am first or second the majority of the time. I'm always in the middle of the action, killing people, and will revive, and heal people if they need it. I generally don't cap flags, and will always take a kill, instead of a revive or heal.

However, when if I get a squad of another 2 medics in my squad, who try to work with me, I will.

I cbad to write any more. seriously....

Yeah, while you and RD were raining death on the Rebels from above, I had to hold em off on foot. Chopper whores

Anyway, it depends, usually I'm an asset and I'll help my team win. I do have my games where I singlehandedly have to win the game for my team because they're so retarded/not aware of tactics. And then there's the occasional crap round in which I'm a ticket burner. Luckily, they don't happen that often.

I don't know if you can single-handedly change a game on like a 64p server, but on the smaller unpopulated ones I guess it's possible, and many times I do that. But I voted for the 4th option. I'm consistently in the top percentile of our team and I definitely use teamwork and squad tactics.
