I went out and bought the vga connectors and a vga to dvmi connector and I plug it up and it won't play. I even tried unplugging my monitor(dvmi cable) and it didn't work. Do you all have any ideas that might help me out. I'm running 2 8800 GTS's in sli. I'm not sure if I'm plugging it up right. i read the 360 forums but I didn't get any help.

Never seen a connector like that before ? Is there a 3.5mm end on it ?

I have the monitor working now I just need the audio hooked up. In my hand there is the audio jack. Does it work with computer speakers ?
I've tried every spot that it will let me plug it into but still no sound.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

That picture you have is to convert one stereo signal into RCA left and right channels. If you have RCA cables going to you speakers, then yes, you can hook it up, but you're better off just going directly in with a stereo connector to your speakers.

Sonder, I'm doing this kind of with just general knowledge, but the z5300 is a surround system that needs to be hooked up via 3 different stereo connectors, am I right? If that's the case, and you only have one audio stereo female jack, the most you can get is 2.1 sound. If you can provide some more details, I may be able to help out better.
