Nice shot! Specially with the sparks at the centre of the explosion.
Cat's good too, but you can't see its face.

I'm jelly of those views. All we have over here is flat and a couple hills
fixed lens, yo
Thats after I fill out my zooms. I'm really starting to see the limitations of the Canon 75-300 III that I have, and with some amazon $ I have, I can pick up the 70-300 IS for around $200, so I think that would be a good replacement. I'm trying to get someone in town to sell me a Canon 17-85 IS for around $200 as well, I figure that's a good base.
Also need a decent backpack for my gear as well, since I will be biking and snowboarding with it. Was thinking the Case Logic 206.
And a better tripod yo... facking $$$

Whiteroom - take a look at the Lowepro gear on offer. Perhaps they sell something that might fit your needs? I have a shoulder bag from them that is absolutely brilliant.
In my personal photography news: providing that tomorrow I am healthy again, I can finally pick up the Nikon 50mm F1.8 that I won on eBay for only €50. Supposed to be in tip-top shape but the only drawback is that it doesn't have its own focus motor, but I started learning on a fully analog SLR with only automatic aperture control, so no big deal.

i've also used their slingshot bags (100 + 200). The only reason i moved out of the slingshot is i wanted somewhere to put a tablet or laptop.
I've got the Nova 170. Holds my D5100 quite nicely along with a second lens and a few other nicknacks (Amazon Kindle, few cleaning supplies, tissues and my cable release). In a few years when I take the plunge and get a larger camera, though, I will definitely have to upgrade my bag but for something the size of a D5100, it's more than sufficient.
