Yeah, I was looking at their Vertex and Fastpack series, They are pretty good, not a fan of the tripod location though. would prefer a side mounted one. I also like the camera holster location in the Case logic 206 for quick access, I don't know if it would bounce around a lot though.

Edit: settled on going for a Lowpro Flipside Sport because of space, tripod holder, and water pack, a must have for biking. Will pick up soon, for the time being I got this, to replace my shit tripod.

That's an awesome pack! This summer I want to do some more hiking, so I'll have to keep that in mind. Especially like the way the camera access is set up from the inside, very nicely done.

Your tripod is also very similar to my Manfrotto that I bought. I love the pistol grip - so much easier to manipulate and carry. Whenever I carry it, I just fold it up and hang the grip over the strap of my current bag where the strap connects to the bag itself. The thing is so light I don't even notice it.

Picked up the new lens today and it's awesome. Instantly fell in love. I wish my camera could auto-focus it, but hardly a big deal. The bokeh is nice and creamy, like a good cappuccino.
