Ok since I'm playing with laptop (2GHz, nVidia 6400 256 MB Video, 1.2GB RAM) can you recommend for me some good video settings. I'm tired of playing with low settings. So today i was trying to change some settings. But once I lag and some other crap. Is there any settings so I can play better? I don't care about texture or something I just wanna see farther because I'm a sniper and with low settings I can't see very far away.
with that laptop, low is your best bet...

Of course, keep distance scale at 100%. Even though you think you don't care about texture, it actually helps you see farther. Keep it on medium since high doesn't make much of a difference. Geometry is another one that lets you see farther, put it as high as your machine allows. Put everything else on low or off. Anti-aliasing and dynamic shadows are performance kryptonite, stay far, far away.

I have almost same spec except bad graphic gard so
Effects high (doesnt really lower performance, except when arty comes down)
Geometry High (Definitely wort of it like Extender said)
DIstance scale on 100%, ffs!
Everything else on low, these setting im using and working all ok
And like extender said you could use better texture because of better graphic card

I have an high-end system but I still prefer to run BF2 with the lowest settings (except 100% view distance). It runs way smoother, no lags and opponents cant hide in the shadows or behind vegetation.. since there are now shadows or vegetation on low.
If you want distance you need Geometry high, texture detail high helps make things stand out, terrain and everything else can be low/off.
