Valid point there, tags lag in showing up and uniforms are so similar you have a to wait a couple seconds to make sure you're not firing on a friendly.

I wouldn't say the tags "lag" in a way.  Just make sure you look at your minimap and check their tags before you fire.

Or take either officer or scout kit to use binoculars and tell your squadmates are "those guys infront" firendly or not.

Using binocs or checking the minimap for every shot isn't necessary in any other BF series game or mod.  Seems this one needs some tweaking.  Enjoyable, but needs some tlc.

Alright. Firstly I got my BF2/Comp fixed I think (yay) which means I should be getting CoD4 very soon.

Ok anyway, I re-installed/patched BF2 and downloaded this mod. I haven't played BF2 in ages, so it was a good feeling getting back into it. This mod is pretty cool. All those days spent with the bolt action rifles in CoD2 has helped me out alot here. The only problem is that all the maps are friggin tank maps. I know tank battles were a major aspect of the N.African theatre but they could've thrown in abit more infantry. Or at least a true combined arms map that takes place entirely in a city (not a huge open space outskirt and a medium village in the middle)

I reckon, this mod is good. It just needs getting used to. It's not as much of a change from BF2 as I'd thought it would be, but I think BF2 is getting old now and it's showing. The main problem for this mod is that it took so damn long to make. I swear I'm not even noticing half the stuff they had in media updates and stuff. It seems like there's a few tanks/guns/planes and maps. Maybe now they got the main bit out of the door, the rest will follow up much more quickly.

Needs more urban maps. Less suicide open spaces across open ground and the spotting needs to be like normal BF2 or like PR I reckon.

edit: The BOFORS 40mm cannon is the single greatest invention ever. No wonder it's still in use today, even on the AC-130 Gunship (or whatever it's called)

Air Power has no chance if you're aware of your surroundings. Also remember to press X in tanks/bofors/anti-tank guns so that you raise the sights so you can get a better aim. Right clicking when on an MG nest also gives you some zoom like in PR. Loads of nice little things in here.

I've already made some sweet long range rifle kills though. All you sniper fags from BF2 should be good, but I suppose you guys suck if it doesn't have a big scope and 10X zoom.
