I can't say that having the bullied kill their bullies is the way to go but I understand the frustration. Having the bullies get some serious discipline might not work either as it could just enrage them further. Throw 'em to a shrink and make them volunteer at hospitals, old folks homes, etc. Maybe some compassion would rub off.
What I see alot is that teachers usually side with the bully or protect them somehow. I mean there's some jacked up kids going through school and if a popular kid who has lots of friends is picking on that dweeb in the back who has greesy hair and a black trench coat and who doesn't talk much...what's a teacher to do? Be fair? lol *yes, you're seeing my disdain for teacher quality in public schools*
But since schools have their hands full and wouldn't do the right thing if they tried, these assaults will keep happening. And as long as parents continue to suck at raising kids with some basic self worth and respect (maybe some discipline along the way), then yeah, kids will have thin skin and go get their daddy's AK47 and unload some stress. I see no end to this cycle, sadly.

You know, I think blaming an influence isn't productive. As much as I'd agree that music culture, violent games or movies are definitely not promoting alternative solutions to problems, they certainly aren't the "cause." I'd call them more of an "instructional" device.
If I'm a lame-ass geek with no penis, and girls smack me around at school, and I get my underwear yanked over my head allot by bigger kids...I'm going to remember how much of a badass I am at BF2 on Karkand when I choose my outlet of destruction. I'm not going to decide to take out kids on the play ground because I'm so good at Karkand and have no personal problems as described above.

If parents are calling their kids f#*$-ups and retards, and smack them around or are too sarcastic with them and ignore them...then yes, the GTA:San Fernando/SAWIII/Marilyn Manson will be my new god..they will respect me more than my parents..they will instruct me in the ways of life more than my stupid parents.
I was in the grocery store the other day with my kids and walking an aisle looking at fish...I saw some skater looking burn out dad walking his cart with his 2 sons...average looking, somewhat obese, nappy red head kids with low self esteem expressions get the following comment from their pa, "..STFU or I'll hit you with it when we get home dammit...you're really fucking pissing me off..." Other than hoping my kids didn't hear that assclown, I was sooooo close to saying something...but what? Other than create a spectacle and get arrested or get my ass kicked in front of my kids...regardless what I would have said, the prick would have still gone home and returned to his asshole ways...while his kids suffer, hate, never feel loved, etc....and be perfect potential for when it gets really bad and they have to react.

^^ A couple of years ago I was at Bestbuy during this time, and a woman was buying her 5 year old GTA San Andreas. Some guy said maybe thats not the kind of game you'd want to be getting your kid, she told him to fuck off.

Not only that but the bad conditions that they might live under. I usually see people who live in government funded housing(projects) who get by on welfare or selling drugs dying because of gun violence, or any type of violence for that matter. You most likely wouldnt see people in a stable financial position doing this. According to the sheriff's office, two students had exited the school bus and entered the Carriage Pointe subdivision when a passenger in a car shot at hem.
A witness said the first shot missed, but the shooter fired again and hit a female first, then a male. Both are 16 years old.
Both victims were taken by air to Tampa General Hospital. Reports are that one student is in critical condition.

Both students are in the 10th grade at East Bay High School. Their names have not yet been released.
Some witnesses said the shooting is the result of an ongoing fued between several students, including a fistfight that took place last week.
The incident happened about 3:30 p.m. on Carriage Pointe Drive near the intersection of Lilly Bay Court.
Law enforcement officers say they know who the shooter is, but they have not found him.
