I have the orange, green and black cable from my Xfi sound card to the connectors on the speakers.

You know the red/white/yellow cables that are used alot of TV? You're going to need one of those wires. In fact, if I remember right I just used one of them instead of buying a new coax cable.
And wtf are you hooking up? Optical will only work if you have a fiber cable laying around, and the coax is the other digital connection.

I got "6 Ch Direct" so the Orange Black and Green cables from speakers into back of sound card... but i need a Coaxil cable from the glowing red port on back of sound card to Coaxil port on speakers.BlackKoala wrote:

Glowing red = fiber not coax. That will only work if you have one of those connections on both the card AND the speakers.White-Fusion wrote:

"can i use this to convert from a 3.5 digital output port on a PC sound card to a coaxal ouput then run a cord from that to my surround sound? and will it carry 5.1 surround sound if that is what the digital port is putting out? - Derek"

From looking at the connections, I don't see either a fiber or CoaX connection on the back of the X-Fi XG. But you might have a different model, so I'll take your word and assume that there's a digi fiber connection back there.
And reading reviews on those speakers, there is a matching connection back there. Assuming both have the optical connection, all you need is an optical cable... Bottom one here ((shop around they're cheaper than that))
