Hi people!
I'm a new BF2 player. (2 days only) and I have some questions about the game.

1. Do I have to pay money for playing on any BF2_Ranked server ?
2. How to unlock my new weapons ? (Maybe I have to do something special in the game...)

Every rank gives you one (or two, if you play Special Forces) unlocks.
..Except the first two ranks, and the ranks after which you've unlocked all weapons, obviously.

Welcome, though the game is in it's final years. I'm afraid you're most likely new to the site as well, therefore this post is excusable since I'm guessing you are new. Next time you have a question just use the giant SEARCH button at the top. This probably won't close as fast since orangehound is gone for a bit... lol...anyways, it's a pleasure. Have a great time, I'm sure bf2'll be a game that becomes very close to your heart, as all of ours.

Hehe - people have become much nicer since I originally joined the forums. Welcome, and enjoy BF2s and BF2. The game is great fun - I came back to playing it not long ago, and felt like an addict getting hist stuff back

You do not have to pay for anything but the game.....Only Ranked servers have to pay for stuff......You should work on getting your ground medals first. "Medic, Engineer, Support....they are the easiest to obtain first.....then go Single player to practice flying jets, heli's......It is helpful considering the internet on ranked servers are a little uptight about "Noobs" flying or gunning jets or helo's. It's helpful all the way around to go single player or join a clan that will help you in game. Other than that just join a server with a low ping and get to ownin man it's free to play online, but with the price of your "In-Game Life". Take it easy and good luck. You need to get your first 2 ranks out of the way to get unlocks...they come 1 at a time per rank upgrade...and take some skill to receive.

~Same answer as everybody else~
You need to play on ranked servers to get points, to get on one go on multiplayer tab and choose box Ranked, then click apply, will start to load servers. If you choose to many opition its will glitch and not show anything at all...

When you get enough rank, to get 1st weapon you need to get 1 or 2 ranks, and after that just only 1.
You need special forces expansion pack(your account has to be used on sf one time) to get second round of those unlocked guns.
In game to use your new weapon there is this mark on right up corner on kit you got it for~
