Well, yeah... thats the question really.

Im getting more into writing HTML and Javascript- Turning them into Windows Vista Countdown Gadgets

I used to use Dreamweaver, but hate the way it reorders your code- I set it out so I can understand it better, go back to the other view, change something, and DW's messed it all up again.

Currently i'm using Notepad++, but miss the way DW used to give you tips for CSS etc.

Any other programs out there that I should give a try? - I know some a lot of you use various languages.

Thanks in advance, as always.

I've been looking for a program like that too. Notepad is getting really annoying.

Just use the "code" part and not the "design" part, and it shouldn't alter your code.

HTMLPad 3

Really easy to use, free and effective. A bit old, though, but it works for 90% of stuff.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Best thing I've found to use so far.

Tons of plugins for all kinds of developers too.

Visual Studio.

Edit: VS is super-overkill if all you're doing is HTML and JavaScript.

Eclipse has to be one of the BEST coding programs.  I used it for java.  It's really great, it has dropdown selections of all the keywords and explanations of what variables they take and how they work.  It also has really good debugging and error explanations.  None of those errors that make you say "WTF?"

Dreamweaver is by far the best out there for web development. And I've tried alot of IDEs.
You using the design view is your own problem And if it rearranges your code so extensively, it means you're doing something wrong somewhere.

Yup. Gotta agree there. Nothing better.
