Debating whether i should go into Seals or Marines

Why?
Alot of arguing between my parents, can't stand it. Unclear future, was thinking about being a history teacher.
But also want to serve

Why i want to join Seals, if you knew me personally , i love to push myself to the limit. Plus it is some of the best special forces in the world.

Why i want to join marine corps, feel a little bit safer.

Need to know some more info or insight onto Navy Seals
Advice.

I face palmed at the Marine Core, but hopefully a mod can take care of it.

Join the Marines, and this isn't 100% based on bias for my brother. You will most definately push yourself to your limit, and you'll be much better set for the future. You can do anything in the Marines, while with the SEALS theres a very high probablity you won't get in, and it's not all that movies cut it out to be. Only 30% of the SEALs see any action. A job in the Marines would be better for your future when you get into the Post-Military Side. There are Over 150 Jobs in the Marines you can choose from.

It is actually spelled Marine Corps. I am biased as having served in the Marine Corps for 7 and 1/2 years so I really can't give an honest opinion. Well, I guess I can but, again, I am and will always be partial to the Big Green Machine.

Well, if you feel unsafe you maybe shouldn't join at all? I would go all in if id want to join the army, like, rangers, paras, not just the regulars. But it's your decision.

You do not have to be in the Navy to become a SEAL, so do both. Go Corps and then try to get in. Just so you know you dont just "decide" you will get in. There is an acceptance process that logistically rivals the physical one. And if you think just because you are in great shape you can breeze through either of their training, you are mistaken.

Be a Navy Corpsman (field doctor) in that way you can either go with Marine Infantry or Navy SEALs. In addition, you have specialized skills to fall back on in the civillian world. wiki
