With out atheists you would be without soime of the best technologies of the modern age, medicine ect. (this is just a comment that many great scientists were atheist, not that theists are bad scientists.)

In a way, atheism is just like another religion, because it separates part of society from others through different beliefs. I don't think atheism is any different from religions. It just doesn't include believing in a higher power.

Because most atheists have convinced themselves that religion is not much better than the palm readings you can get down at the local shire fair for two quid. That and they blame it for every conflict in the world today.

If atheists were to suddenly 'not exist' currently, they still would have done those things in the past.

If atheists were to 'not exist' in the past, then they probably would have done the same things - only they'd have a religion.

I don't hate people of faith. I personally believe the world would be a better place without religion, but I don't hate religious people. My gripe with religious people are those that feel they need to push their moral values on everyone else. That feel the separation of church and state is not what the founding fathers intended, and would turn this country into a Christian version of the ME in two shakes if they could.

But worst of all are the hypocrites. The pedo priests and drug taking, man loving (literally), ministers. They proclaim family values, righteous in their own indignation, while they do all those things they condemn behind closed doors.
