Heres my question, Do you think....
A)Its the Parents Fault because of parenting(Please explain why)
B)Or do you think its the Teens fault because of Morals(Please explain)
C)Other Opinions
C) A combination of both. All participants; not just specific generations, are responsible for breakdown of society.

I attribute some of it to the supergirl and superboy treatment that kids receive (get A's, be a high-profile boy scout, do several after-school activities, this, this and that and make sure you can play an instrument so that we parents can brag about our own brilliance in child-rearing to our friends at drinking parties; oh, and here's your five minutes of free time), driving some of them to breakdown and extreme forms of social rebellion.

If you're too strick on someone, they'll try to disobey and do "stupid" things. I know, been there done that! heh.

I think mostly parental fault, and some of the kids' responsibility, to use common sense.

It's the parents' job to teach said kid some common sense. It's also the parents job to teach their kids that what they say is right and if a kid does otherwise (considering sensible parents) then they are doing a stupid thing.

Whatever a kid does before they're fully matured (22 or so?) can be strongly linked to parenting or young influence, which should be governed by the parents. Unfortunately, as Carlin put it, parents have got to be shitheaded to accept the job. Must be why they, clearly, are not to blame when their kid is a serial killer before the age of 16.

I had sex for the first time when I was 13, everytime I have made sure to use a condom, also I have been told that they are on birth control. All in all, its more of people thinking they can get away without using protection "this one time". Ive had friends fucked over from that.

EDIT: I wish I had waited, I mean, a understatement would be saying that sex is amazing, its beyond that, its just well, we had both lost our virginity at the same time, but I had known the girl for a month and a half, but I kinda wish it had meant something, thats one of the major points in your life, kinda feels like I just wasted it.

BTW: My school was not full of a bunch of whores that started fucking in elementary school, two other people had lost their virginity before us. Maybe its cause Im at a rich kid school, but that rich kid school does have the most drug use in our state.

A solution to the problem is of course better education.
A bad solution would be for religious organizations to step in and re-open the book of censorship.

Parents need to talk to their kids about sex, and everything related. I was fully 'educated' at age 13, way before I even started 'exploring'.

Here is the Netherlands, a care insurance company called CZ is even distributing free condoms for it's teen clients.

As said above a reason for high teen pregnancies are both the bad education, and religious influence (it's forbidden, and thus not talked about).

the other thread reminded me of this post i saw on another forum.

A lot of people expressed they are ignorant to the fact women can get pregnant while on the birth control pill. I will inform some of you because you think women can't get pregnant while on it, and I feel to say this because some of you uninformed fools will add to the statistics of teen pregnancy.

Birth control works as long as the woman takes it correctly, which in most cases a very few women do in fact take it 100% correctly. First off it works by making the woman's body think it is already pregnant, therefore you cannot get pregnant for the 3 weeks a month of being on it. A woman needs to take the pill approx the same time every day for it to be 100% efficient, and not miss a day. Doctors tell women if they miss more than 1 day a month to stop taking it and continue the next month, because it's pretty much not effective for the duration of that month. If you drink alcohol that day within X amount of hours of taking the pill, it's like not taking it at all, which is I would tend to say MOST women taking it are unaware of. Why am I informed on this? Because I am not trusting my future with a girl on it, so I informed myself. I will personally say DON'T trust it period, it's a fallback method in my opinion. Be smart, and safe. Yea shit happens occasionally, been there done that and it's been fine on those few occasions.

Just trying to help some people, because getting a girl pregnant when you aren't prepared for it can ruin your life, or the child's.

Flame away virgins, but I hope at least a few people learn something from this because from that last thread this topic came up and it proved some people definitely think it's full proof.

C'mon guys,
If Jesus taught us anything it's that the unwanted babies resulting from a single teenage mum can turn out alright.

I am a kid myself, (14 years old) and a few of my class had sex already. Basicially I think it's shit, but if you really want to fail at life, go for it.

I guess they have to deal with the consequences.

Mod-Edit:Corrected spelling in title
There is no way to blame parents or teens specifically. Sex is too powerful of a natural human urge.

Those that survive teenage years to adulthood are just lucky. All of us adults look back on our teenage years and think about how fortunate we were not "get caught", get hurt, or even "get killed"
