Im on a christmas money budget, other cards are welcomed my price range.

Id say the 512Mb one.

But you might aswel have said ive got $30 to spend and youll always get someone saying..get a 8800gt!!!!

Need it to be DX10? If not get a high end DX9 card, it'll perform a lot better than a piddly 8600.

I'd get an ATi 2600 then, same price (maybe a little less).

The 256mb ine is the better card because it has gddr3. The 512mb one has gddr2 from want you posted.
