I have an SLi configuration running (2 x 7600GT) but no application besides ntune detects it. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Most games dont have an "option" for sli. The only one i know of is COD2 and i think COD4. You can go into the NVidia profiles setting and change the SLI rendering mode for each program you run.  For example for bf2 you might select "alternate frame rendering one" meaning the cards will alternately render each frame.  Or you can use SLi AA or split frame rendering.  In most cases you will get better performance from alternate frame rendering.  As long as Sli is enables through the nvidia control panel and all is well with the config on your mobo, you should be ok.

Your lucky, gigabyte gave me a faulty board, and I couldnt even use my SLI because the other PCIe x16 port was faulty...

but yes the above sounds correct.
