It's something you should never go for! It officially marks you as a permanent tank whoring n00b.

I'm embarrassed enough with my Vet. Tank Medal [for the rank up] but the Armor Combat Medal? Nevar!

Was reading loads of boring topics in this section so I made one that should fit in just fine

Medal = bragging rights

I honestly don't give a damn about what medals I or other people have. The only embarrassing ones may be the expert knife and pistol badges, but medals are just bragging rights IMO.

My last 2-3 BF2 clans had a 24/7 Karkand map so I blame them! Yes you heard me, its their fault!

I'm proud of my Armored Combat Metal. Whats wrong with you? Intentional pointless topic, or do you really feel getting this medal marks you as an armor whore? Well, I guess it does really, but its not a bad thing.

Edit: I just wanna add, armor whoring is a load of fun. It's not easy to be good at it. You are very vulnerable in armor. (Attack choppers, any AT troops, jets, Spec-Ops, jihaders, apcs, artillery, one hit ground defense) Shooting down attack choppers really makes it all worth while. Kind of like that underdog mentality.

Whats wrong with a medal? If you can get 100hours for veteran, and you then cant up that by an extra 13kills in a round....

meh it happens but it's nothing to be ashamed about since it is the most accessible/available vehicle than other vehicles like the helios or jets. There are many ways to counter Armor: aircrafts, AT, Jihad Jeeps, explosives, etc and Armour can be attacked in every which directions and any lengths of distance. I'd say the odds should be stacked against Armour....good counter tactics will make players abandon armor vehicles. I have seen it plenty of times on the BF2S rank server - Gulf of Oman map.

I'm coming up on my second one. The expert armor is the one with the out of control hourly requirements though.

I love me some apc whoring though. I'll usually pass up the tank for the apc since I can squad lead and have a squad spawn on me to head to the flag (while I do what I love which is camp spawns).

like omg bf2 is so alive and af is awsum even though i know a lot of people dont play bf2 anymore and sure as hell dont play mods and expansions anymore i think you should get the medal if you want because you can be a general and you will get commander as well as respect from fellow soldiers and believe me its great i mean well i dont know cause im only a first sergeant i think because i played for fun when i did pla it was a right laff cant wait for bf3 to come out though i hope its no demanding like cod4 because ill probably lag again which is shit because its just a waste of miney really anyway theres my 3p lol jor dout
