Right now am getting 24610 kb/s down +4278kb/s

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Well, I wouldn't mind demonstrating, but that would require not only finding 650Mbps of bandwidth available somewhere on the Internet, but also two freshly formatted disks or a blank RAID 4/5 array. I'm not really that eager to convince you.Freezer7Pro wrote:

More than enough to max out that speedtest.net site. I've never been able to pull more than ~80000kbps from it. Essentially I'm pretty unlimited. I have about 400Mbps available at night, and 650Mbps available in the daytime.
My god that was a really lame excuse.mikkel wrote:

How is that proving what kind of connection I have? The above mentioned method is really the only way of testing it to its full potential, so it's hardly a "lame excuse", but rather the reality of the situation. There's no need to be so hostile. It's also somewhat sad that your disposition is to doubt me and treat me like a liar. You don't know me, and looking at your posts, you just seem really eager to have the fastest connection around.Negerkungen wrote:

As fast as that server will deliver.

As fast as the network card in this box will do.
Settle down young man,I never called you a liar. And if I offended you I'm sorry.
Is that your company's connection Mikkel?
Holy crap... we have a winner?mikkel wrote:

P.S. That is the connection of my dreams and nightmares.
Heh, I'm not the least bit unsettled. Your rather hostile and juvenile disposition is somewhat uncalled for, though.Negerkungen wrote:

Heh, I'm definitely not paying for it out of my own pocket. Yeah, it's my company's connection, but that's down to the fact that the company I work for is an ISP. This connection is one that I sit on all by myself, unlimited and unmetered.elbekko wrote:

You're just a narrow minded kid that can't stop whining.
ADSL and cable connections typically have a horrible downstream:upstream bandwidth, as it's often expensive to send traffic over transit links. It's just economics.
Whining? Weren't you the one just criticising me over nothing, and continually talking in a condescending tone? You're completely agitated over nothing. You need to calm down.Negerkungen wrote:

Nice. I want that.mikkel wrote:

This is exactly why I said "especially you, mikkel". You drive everything to the climax, if someone says something that's the least bit out of your opinion, you'll make a big as hell deal of it. if you wouldn't have had that connection, that would have been a really lame excuse. The pic showing it macing out speedtest is enough, jesus! And from many of your posts, we've got reason to believe that you would lie about such a thing. Remember that resolution thread? We stated facts, but you wouldn't give up. You may be 35, but you've got the mind and attitude of a ten-year-old! You never give up, even if you've got downright facts straight in your face! Negerkungen didn't insult you in any way, he just stated that he wouldn't believe you unless you posted proof. Wich you did, and he admitted to it. FINE! You won! You proved that you had a very good connection! NOW JUST FUCKING DROP IT!
That's why I don't like you.

It says "What's your connection speed?"
Not "What's your company's connection speed"
I was right,you are lame.
No, people arguing over internet connection speed ON THE INTERNET are lame.
