No, you need to calm down.mikkel wrote:
ADSL and cable connections typically have a horrible downstream:upstream bandwidth, as it's often expensive to send traffic over transit links. It's just economics.Whining? Weren't you the one just criticising me over nothing, and continually talking in a condescending tone? You're completely agitated over nothing. You need to calm down.Negerkungen wrote:
Man you really don't know when to stop do you?I said sorry, but you know what fuck that.
You're just a narrow minded kid that can't stop whining.
This is exactly why I said "especially you, mikkel". You drive everything to the climax, if someone says something that's the least bit out of your opinion, you'll make a big as hell deal of it. if you wouldn't have had that connection, that would have been a really lame excuse. The pic showing it macing out speedtest is enough, jesus! And from many of your posts, we've got reason to believe that you would lie about such a thing. Remember that resolution thread? We stated facts, but you wouldn't give up. You may be 35, but you've got the mind and attitude of a ten-year-old! You never give up, even if you've got downright facts straight in your face! Negerkungen didn't insult you in any way, he just stated that he wouldn't believe you unless you posted proof. Wich you did, and he admitted to it. FINE! You won! You proved that you had a very good connection! NOW JUST FUCKING DROP IT!
That's why I don't like you.

First of all, this is a discussion forum. If someone disagrees with me, I'm going to pursue this in hopes of either learning something new or confirming my beliefs. That's the nature of a discussion. That being said, I don't recognise your impression when you say that I've made a "big as hell deal" out of anything in this thread. My way of simply sticking to my opinion until someone provides a better alternative may lend to how you assumed this impression, but I implore you not to confuse the unsubmissive with the ignorantly steadfast. Simply yielding without warrant will never get you far, so I don't do this.
If I hadn't had that connection, it'd still be a perfectly valid excuse. The problem here is that for one to assume that this is a lame excuse, one must assume that I'm not telling the truth, which is a rather silly disposition to have towards someone you have never met, which is simply what I had pointed out.
I'm very interested in knowing what posts you derive this kind of disposition from in the first place. Yeah, I remember the resolution thread. I said that the best resolution for the user is the resolution that the user likes best. I don't think anyone can prove me wrong in that, but I encouraged everyone in the thread to do so. Lord knows you tried, but you just took a very wrong approach, arguing all sorts of technical aspects that we all agreed on, but sticking your fingers in your ears when you were faced with the fact that all I was arguing is that people have different tastes, which really is a somewhat inescapable truth. Your refusal to accept my argument for what it was may very well have left you with an erroneous perception of arrogance, but your refusal to do so after many attempts to convince you simply left me wondering what you were trying to prove. I don't really hold grudges towards many people, and while we have disagreed in the past, I certainly still give you the benefit of the doubt, so it's unfortunate to me that you don't provide me with the same.
Well, I realise that very competitive people may not see it as an insult to be questioned without merit, as it gives you a chance to show off, but those of us who have both feet on the ground mostly aren't fond of that kind of accusation. Adding to this were the patronising and condescending remarks, which I simply commented on and made aware that they were percieved as insulting.
I have to say, I feel that I've been very forthcoming in this thread. I posted the details of my connection, which you then requested evidence of. Showing the full potential was an impossibility to me, and while this was percieved by some to be an excuse to cover up a lie, I dismissed it and opened up to suggestions, which I followed up on. In the face of insults, the worst I've done is make the person aware that I did in fact find them to be insulting, whether intentional or not, and that's that.
For you to come in without warrant and insult me like this speaks more to me about your attitude than it serves as anything of self-referential value. I'm sorry, but I'm quite calm despite the insults and hostile remarks, and it would suit you to be the same.
Please, Negerkungen, it'd be nice if you could refrain from the hostilities. I guess my definition of what's mine is what I'm free to use as I see fit, and I'm free to use my connection as I see fit. If I had posted my "company's connection speed", we would be talking two-figure Gbps numbers, so clearly, this is not what I'm doing.Negerkungen wrote:
Oh so it's your company's connection, then you must have miss understood the topic.mikkel wrote:
Heh, I'm not the least bit unsettled. Your rather hostile and juvenile disposition is somewhat uncalled for, though.Negerkungen wrote:
Settle down young man,I never called you a liar. And if I offended you I'm sorry.Heh, I'm definitely not paying for it out of my own pocket. Yeah, it's my company's connection, but that's down to the fact that the company I work for is an ISP. This connection is one that I sit on all by myself, unlimited and unmetered.elbekko wrote:
Is that your company's connection Mikkel?
Edit: merged double post, sorry.
It says "What's your connection speed?"
Not "What's your company's connection speed"
I was right,you are lame.
