Well I grew up believing in one parties' way of life, if you can call it that, because of the candidates and members. That was then. This is now. Since "The Party" has let me down, I will vote based on the "perception" candidate. I'm no where near making a final decision.

Vote for candidate based on my own view of what government should and could be.
Denmark being a constitutional monarchy, we vote for parliament, and in a parliament of 179 members from 13 different parties, and coalitions of up five parties to gain parliamentary majority, I have a hard time believing that any one person can push even a fraction of their ideals through. I vote for whatever party I agree the most with with, even if my ideal candidate is with a different party.
I still vote for Reagan, even though he is dead.

I vote for the candidate, my decision is based on his/her policies and priorities.
I vote for party, candidate is largely meaningless. We don't have a US style system of government though - parliamentary elections are infinitely more important than presidential elections.

Since America doesn't have a parliament, candidates matter more than party. Thus, I vote for the candidate more than the party, although I do tend to favor the Democrats.
Whatever Fox News and Ann Coulter tells me to do.
I vote for the candidate. However, I typically pay more attention to the republican candidates.
four or five years ago, I would have voted along party lines, but both have become so pathetic that i have to investigate every candidate now...

I vote for party but I pick a candidate that shares my views.
What's great here in Finland, is that many news agencies send questions to the candidates and you can answer to the same questions online and compare your answers to the candidates answers. Don't know if it's done in other countries aswell.

I vote for the person I like more. It just so happens that that is almost always one from the same party.
Nope. I just disagree with Dem candidates on the issues more than Rep candidates. In the primaries, I vote for the guy I agree with most. If he doesn't win the nomination I'm not going to vote for a guy on the other side of the aisle with whom I almost completely disagree with.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

I vote candidate. That being said, I also vote conservative, meaning I will most likely never vote democrat. If, however, a third party candidate comes along that has what I am looking for, I will vote as such.
