ok, so I have just built my new rig and am now looking to get a new widescreen monitor to replace my current 19" LG TFT.

Anyone have any recommendations?

price range: £100 - £150

I was looking in ocuk but all the ones in your price range don't seem to have digital input. Which is odd, considering my 15" LCD from 2001 even has DVI input. And I was looking at 20" Widescreen LCD's in your case.

Sorry but in that price range you are never going to get a good monitor. Quality monitors start at 250-300

What's wrong with yours? Oh, widescreen. Missed that part.

I would go for a Samsung SM-2232BW Pebble 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor, it might be a little over budget but my friend has one of these and its amazing.
Good luck

The only thing I don't like with my 226BW,is that you can't adjust the height.Other then that it' a kickass monitor.
Go on Tim,buy it!!!!!!

Regardless of what type or size you want, try getting an Iiyama.

Considering size and type: CRT ftw, especially with your budget. CRT's come with flat screens these days; they're cheap, clear and reliable.

You crazy?  Maybe you thought he said $

I agree with most of the posts, Samsumg all the way, and the 20'' version of what there on about is about £170 from Overclockers.

However, if £150 is an absolute limit, this is what I would pick up:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … subcat=948

But shop around, you might see that Samsung going around cheaper else where.

Yeah they are cheap, clear and reliable, but they are also the size of my e-penis (massive), so it would not fit on my desk

ok, I hear y'all and will go with one of the Samsung monitors.
