The CTS-V is powered by a 6.2L LSA supercahrged V8 that produces 550 horsepower and 550 lb-ft. of torque. The 2009 CTS-V also comes with new technological features such as Magnetic Ride Control, an industry-first Performance Traction Management program and the addition of a new six-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shift control.

For the first time ever the CTS-V is going to be exported outside of the US to Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The all-new CTS-V will launch in the fourth quarter of 2008.

i vote a strike-out.

its trying to compete with the powerhouse M5, which it will definatley fail in beating, no matter how cheap it is, which it probably wont be with a "flappy paddle gearbox" and "magnetic paymoreformeplox" technology.

I think BMW has a great design going, but they need to add some more hp to their M series.

Is there a thread where we can post pics of our cars or something like that?

I hope whoever it was that designed the front end of that car has their eyeballs removed with a rusty, AIDS infected spoon.

It kinda looks like it's trying to be "gangsta" in that picture. It's like how the Escalade and 300C look when people attempt to pimp them out.

Sure about that?  Caddy has more than just great suspension.  M5 has a V-10 w/ 507hp and 383 torque so the Caddy will be a strong competitor.

550 horsepower

550 pound-feet of torque

Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) suspension system

Performance Traction Management

Brembo brakes

Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires

either a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual or a Hydra-Matic 6L90 six-speed with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters

Eaton supercharger

Recaro performance driving seats

Love the interior

Another article:

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sed … llac_cts_v

There are no performance figures yet, but by way of context, AMG's E63 Benz nails 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. The new CTS-V weighs about the same and has at least 43 more horses and 85 pound-feet more torque. Draw your own conclusions: The car also has been extensively tested on the legendary Nrburgring Nordschliefe, and while insiders are tight-lipped on the actual lap time-for now-they will admit Cadzilla has terrorized factory hotshoes from Munich out on the daunting 13-mile road course.

It's just positioned there in the promo picture. I think the location can be pretty much selected. E.g. inthe bumper, between the "grills".

It's so pr0n, that car. I can't believe that some people see it as "too sporty", and will therefore not buy it.

the mitsubishi is nice but it's a 4 door.  an obscenely powerful sedan must also be luxurious, the evo isn't.  it's a nice car at a good price, and 5sec 0-60 is a lot of fun, but gimme a coupe.

The Evo is a load of bollocks. Why can't Mitsubishi make a car that doesn't break all the fucking time???

But on topic ...

I think the CTS-V will be an assload of fun. The current CTS-V is the absolute shit, I love it. It's the only Cadillac you would ever see me driving. Even the normal CTSs are fucking hot. No other car on the road looks like that and pulls it off so well, even in the cheapest trim level.

BMW can suck a dick. They suck now. iDrive is an absolute POS, and you have to go through these submenus just to turn the 500hp on and then fuck around with the seven different transmission settings (who really needs all that?). That, and all of their cars (minus the 3-series) look like complete shit. Chris Bangle needs to be fired.

The new CTS-V and the Nissan GT-R will be the cars to watch out for.

I like the fact that it's a little bit of both. The interior is nice, but it's not filled with the überluxurious stuff that would probably skyrocket the cars price. All I need in a car (as extras) is half leather seats, A/C, some power and a good sound system, preferrably an integrated mp3-player (which I have in my current one).

A coupé would be kickass, but this one I can have even if I have kids. I'm driving my first 4d atm (actually it's a 5d hatch), and I'm just gradually getting used to the shorter doors and idiotic location of the B-pilar.

The new Lancer is being launched here in April, I think, with the 1.5 and 1.8 engineblocks (with approximately 20-25 000 € on the pricetag). The 2.0T would be kickass, though. I saw the car in fall '06 at a motor show, it was called "Concept X" at the time. I've been actually drooling ever since. Here's the pic I took back then, note the cooler headlights in the concept version:

It seems less ricey than they have been in the past. It may be just me, but I think I see some similarities between that design and some current Audis.
