What do you think about other life forms in the universe?  Are there any?  If so, how intelligent do you think they are?  Have they been to Earth?

IMO there are intelligent life forms for sure, but I'm sure they never came to Earth.  The universe is huge and then the odds are they've never been here.

If you ask me... we are the aliens... if that makes sense, let me explain:
Thousands of years ago, when the ancient Egyptians were about, well, they worked well, and were advanced, well, i think that was aliens, then we killed/"expeled" the humans from this planet, and then, as time moved on he settled here, and forgot about it.
I truly believe this, and no-one can deter me from doing so.

I am an apathetic alien-atheist.

Revised: I am apathetically an alien-agnostic.

I voted #2.

As huge as the universe is, it is highly unlikely that ours should be the only planet with some form of intelligent life. So I'd say there is other life out there, just not close or advanced enough to take notice of us.

Of course there are alien life forms. I think it's funny when people assume that we are SO unique. Earth is just a tiny speck of dust in a HUGE universe. There are plenty of planets that could support life forms as we know them. Perhaps there might be others that we never thought of, but are a host to life.

However I'm not sure whether alien life forms  have visited our planet. Hell, we could even be alien to this planet for all we know. But if your question was, do you believe in Rosswell/X-files stuff, then the answer is no.

I though Ridley Scott's "Alien" was a better movie. Gothic horror in SPACE - FTW!

I think it would be idiocy to suggest that we are alone in this Universe. However, when everyone says "aliens", people think of a super advanced race.

I think its likely there is rather a lot of life out there, but in many forms - single cell organisms for example.

Agreed.  But James Cameron did a great job with Aliens anyway, then he made that hideous movie about that boat...

it would be naive to say that we are the only life forms in the universe, simple reason we have no idea how far the universe actually goes on for. we dont even know everything about this planet yet, there are new species of animals being found every year, and they say we know more about space then we do about the deep sea.

one theory is that we have been placed on the earth as a massive experiment to see how far we can advance and how long it takes us to destroy the human race.

do we have  any concept of how big things actually are, a little bit like bugs life, youll now what i mean if you have seen the film

"White Squall" (Ridley Scott) - I think? It so sucked.
"Titanic" (James Cameron) - the other boat movie - it sucked too.

Aliens was a totally different movie. Good in it's own right... just not as good as "Alien." (<-- IMO)

I voted one, but meant two. I definitely think we're not the only life forms out there, but the vast size of the universe may have kept aliens from landing on earth. On the other hand, the initial life forms that started it all could have been aliens - and so could substances, such as carbon (well, alien substances). It makes sense, but the probability is tiny.

White Sqaull was a bad movie by Ridley Scott, but I mean Titanic, by James Cameron, I totally hate that movie and Cameron for making that piece of shit.

NO WAI!!!!! how can you say alien was a better movie man.. it and the God Father part 2 both  sequels that were better than the original.. but... I digress. that's another topic..

on topic - who can say? I reckon there has to be life else where given our present scientific understanding.  The problem is space is Big.. to say the least..

Well if the universe is endless and keeps expanding there´s a 100% chance there´s life out there since we are a the living proof.

I like Alien and Aliens, but if I had to pick one I'd go with Alien everyday.  Ridley Scott is one of the best directors, if not the best.  Black Hawk Down Ftw!

I'd say there are definatly more intelligent species somewhere in the Universe, I mean just look at the sheer size of the Universe it can't be that we are the only intelligent forms of life that exist.

Universe is really really damn big, meaning there's a lot of systems out there, and I think chances are one will contain intelligent life.
