Hey guys, I'm looking to make a new computer.
Can you find me the best premade, or the best build for $650 American.
I don't need an OS if its a build.
Thanks in advance.

Tight budget, I hear that America's newegg is hacks though, so I suggest you work out some form of 8800 Graphics card and 4 gigs of RAM. I personally use Kingston Value ram, because I'm cheap and my rig only cost $800 Australian to set up, and I really don't see how it's going to be any different from some $3000 machine that has cup holders.

i recommend looking into acer computers. they have pretty nice ones for the cost. If all else fails get a dell =P

edit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6883103115 graphics is crap...but you can replace it.

Heres an example of a post you should not pay attention to. Moving right along.

Either get a Q6600 or E6600, P35 mobo, Antec 900 case, 2 or 4 GB of cheap DDR2800 RAM, if you cant afford a decent 8800GT get an HD3850 or 2900PRO. A 160/250GB HD isnt that expensive these days either. If it comes out to too much get an AMD processor instead. You arent really going to get a good build for $650

Not bad, just for the love of God dont buy a rosewill PSU. And get the ram from a better company like Kingston/Corsair

I have some optical drives, but I would like a new one, and they're only about 50$

8800GT. If you can afford to go over the price limit a bit then go for the 8800GTS 512MB

Only go for the 8800GTS(g92) over the 8800GT if your using resolutions over 1280x1024. Otherwise, the performance is practically the same.

Edit: I say this from having owned both cards(have the 8800gts-G92 now).

I agree.  PM'ed you a nice computer minus video card @ $483.

I also tacked on the price of a XFX 8800GT if that's the card you want.  (I highly recommend you do so.)

i have had my rosewill 600 psu running for over a year now without a hiccup.   it is powering my e6750 and 8800gts (320MB)  just fine.  it also has modular cables to boot!  for the amount this guy has for a build, you have to cut corners and spending over $100 on a psu for a non sli rig is crazy.  get the rosewill, you won't be upset.  if his budget was $1000+ then sure, get a $200 Antec, PC Power and Cooling, etc, but not for his build.  Just my .02
