How do you get them? I some how have about 110 and I have no idea how I recieved them. Does it tell you in the text on the left where it says, you recieved a heal/repair point...?

You get Driver Special Ability Points by a passenger healing someone (they get a heal point), or they repair something (your vehicle, commander asset or another vehicle within repair radius proximity), resupplying someone within or without (outside but within radius proximity) the vehicle. You also get driver points by kill assists (driver kill assist) they still count as driver points towards awards.
Main thing here is that your passengers are doing the points and you are just driving to help them get those points. Teamwork at its best, eh?

Okay so, If I am a driving an APC and someone gets out to fix me/fix the guy next to me....i get a Driver assist point as long as im within a certain area?
As far as teh Driver Badge goes...Do i need to get all the requirements in 1 round? I mean can i get the XX kills IAR, xx Kill Assists IAR and xx Driver Special Ability Points IAR in seperate rounds?

The guy who gets the point has to be in the vehicle you are driving. If he gets out of it and gets a point next to you, you'll earn nothing.nismo4life wrote:

ok, one Im probably going to get yelled at for being a "tank whore" in this case but yes me and my team are those assholes that roll up in a tank, kill your sides, and then go get all your heavy vehicles. We have three of us rolling around in this case for example, 2 tanks, 1 apc, all engineers. I hear that damn wrench repairing almost 24/7 but not once in almost this 15 minutes of us rolling around do I see me get a driver special ability point. Am I getting them and its just not saying or can you for some reason not get it in this case?

Driver ability points: EAs answer to buggie stealing and hogging. Another crap idea by EA.
If you had a gunner in your tank as an engineer you would get one eventually. It has to be a passenger doing something. e.g. your flying a blackhawk you have a medic and a supply guys at the guns and the rest engineers. everything the engineer fires a shot or tosses grenade out of the chopper the supply guy auto fills his ammo, boom 1 point for you, you get shot at the engineers take a beating but done die, the medic auto heals, you get a point, the enginneers fix your chopper while flying, you get a point, everyone that gets a point for something you get a point.Azygos666 wrote:

I'm not sure about that but I once got a Driver Special Abbility for almost nothing. I jumped in a car at the MEC Airfield on Zatar, stepped on reverse, made a nice U-Turn, stepped on forward and recieved a Driver Special Abbility point. There was no one else in my car that could have healed or resupplied me, which wasn't necessary in any case because I just spawned, and the U-Turn was more a 90° curve driven reverse BUT I got a Driver Special Abbility.
And IIRC, I got another one dodging a friendly Blak Hawk in my Jet with a nice maneuver.

By any chance where you medic or resupply? I got a point once while driving with nobody in the vehicle with me when I was a medic. Wasnt healing anyone but best I can figure someone picked up a pack I dropped while I was outside the vehicle.Ali wrote:

Yup,you seem to get special ability points if you can drive very well.
I evaded an ERYX-rocket in a DPV and got a driver ability point for it,even the U-turn worked once for me.
