I'd hit that with the hammer of thor.
inane little opines
at least 1.5 lb of ground beef, lean (i use angus beef)
4-5 tbsp of real maple syrup
10-12 tbsp of Diana BBQ sauce (use the one you like.. original is fine)
Pepper
Cayenne pepper to your liking
chopped chives
parsley
a pinch of thyme (optional)
a pinch of basil (optional)
Mix all of that together, very well, and then form 4 big hamburger patties
You can smear a bit of BBQ sauce or some maple syrup (or a blend of both) on the patties and add some spices to it.
I cook that in the oven (pre heated) for 45 minutes, at 350ish (sometimes a few minutes more), placed on a grill, with something underneath to collect the fat that will drip.
I never tried it on the BBQ outside because I don't have one lol, but I might get one this year.
Then put that on a hamburger bun with some cheese (i use Jarlsberg or similar), some salad (i use boston or ceasar leaves), and ketchup, or mayo, or mustard, whatever you like...
yummy

As always, use a cast iron skillet.
Also in a sauce pan boil 2 medium potatoes until soft.
Fry bacon until just done, remove. Brown 1/2 pound sausage. Remove. Sautte onions in the bacon grease until they are soft. Remove.
Cover the bottom of the skillet with bread, add the bacon and sausage, a thin layer of cheese ( and whatever, green peppers, tomatoes )and add the potatoes and mash them smooth over the meat and bread. Salt, pepper and fresh basil.
Crack 4-6 eggs and scramble, add a little water, pour over potatoes and bake for 15-20 minutes until the eggs are mostly set, remove, sprinkle with grated cheese and place in broiler for about one minute.
Goes well with bloody marys.
This is my own personal recipe adopted from dutch oven camp breakfast recipes.
Try it.

Yes jensen, we call it a Toaster, but in English a Toaster is what we call a "brødrister", that is why i said "In denmark, a toaster = a sandwich toaster (in England)....Lieutenant_Jensen wrote:

Fixed for those of us who don't have sandwich toasters. Oh, and a bunch of line breaks taken out.

Czech Celestial Crusts
* 3 tablespoon butter or margarine
* 1 egg
* 2 egg yolks
* 1 tablespoon light cream
* 2-1/2 cups sifted flour (all purpose)
* 1/4 cup sugar
* 1 lemon - grated rind
* 3 tablespoons grape or sweet fruit juice
* granulated sugar
* fat for deep frying
Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg and egg yolks, beat in cream, grape juice and lemon rind. Gradually stir in flour. Wrap dough in wax paper and chill for 30 minutes. Divide dough into 4 parts. Roll each part thinly on floured board, the thinner the better. Cut into 1 inch squares. Drop into hot fat (375 F), fry until golden. Drain on absorbent paper, sprinkle with granulated sugar. Serve hot or cold. Makes about 7 dozen.
