Yeah so I was messing around with the XFire video recorder (which lags like hell) and when I looked at the video files, despite being very short they were massive files, over a gigabyte. So I was wondering how do I convert them into a file of a smaller size, so that I can actually have them on my PC.

Also for some reason by sound card (Evny24 family audio controller) won't let me record sound, any way to make it allow me to record sound?

I'm looking for a video converter too, so I think I'll throw this in here too...

My 360 Extender can only play mp1, mp2 and wmv files, and all the movies I have on my computer are in avi or mkv, what program should I use to convert them into the acceptable format without losing quality (most of them are HD, 720p). I tried one program but the converted quality was terrible so I thought I'd ask here for a good program

If you use sony vegas you can drag and drop the files into there and Render them to what format you want. I suggest WMV if your streaming it.

WMV will go from about 500mb to less than 5mb

As for your sound problem, i dunno. Ive heard similar problems with audio on Fraps. Is there a box thats supposed to be checked for recording sound?

Do you use a Mic and speakers together? that could fuck it up.

and i find it excellent.... the trial version only lets u convert 2 videos or music files etc at once.... but thats not really a problem.

Okay I've gone with DivX, however I still want to know if there is a way to get the record sound from my sound card.
