The North's Sports Minister Edwin Poots is calling for an end to the playing of the Irish national anthem ahead of GAA games in the North. DUP politician Edwin Poots also says he wants to see an end to the naming of sports grounds after Irish patriots. Mr Poots became the first DUP politician to attend a GAA match in an official capacity last night when he watched the McKenna Cup game between Donegal and Down in Newry. He was welcomed to the game by GAA president Nicky Brennan. However, he arrived late as part of a protest against the playing of Amhrán na bhFiann before the game.
I have an idea ...how about Mr. Poots fucks off. It's the national sport of Ireland ...the Island of Ireland. Thousands of people, both North and South of the British imposed border play and follow the game. We were big enough not to cause a fuss about God save The Queen being played in the same stadium where British troops massacred innocent players and spectators why can't this knob jockey live in the present and fucking deal with reality.
You don't see all the foreign players in England asking for God Save The Queen not to be played at the FA Cup final (I mean it's not like many English players get to play in the FA Cup final these days).
