I see your point.  Well taken.  Im more on the reality of the facts side then what was perceived. But I understand that what was perceived is a reality for many

What's the difference between.

"Pull out your missiles and we'll pull out ours" - (Cuba) (lets keep sex puns to a minimum here)

and

"Pull out your troops (in this case they weren't troops but terrorists within Spain) and we'll pull out ours" - Spain

People say Spain appeased to Islamic Terrorists after the Madrid Bombings by pulling out of the Middle East or Afghanistan or wherever they were, so they wouldn't face more terror attacks (and they didn't).

Isn't that just compromising? Or appeasing? It's practically the same as the Cuban missile crisis, sort of.

Again it seems like people are making a fuss over words and titles.

Yep, Khrushchev was a diplomatic genius!  He orchestrated this entire scenario that completely embarrassed the Soviets and it's outcome was one of the reasons he was ousted from power.   Yep, one-sided alright.

not like he wanted to stay in power much longer after that anyways.

Yes, and that didn't help to calm the waters, in fact Russia took that as an act of war.  Again, diplomacy and appeasement, avoided WW3.

Yes, I agree by taking out the missiles in Turkey under an agreement did help to avoid a war with Cuba and Russia. But, they were, for the most part, level-headed diplomats, not religious extremists.

Khrushchev created a crisis that forced JFK to remove them form Turkey.

I used some hyperbole to accentuate how wrong this statement is.  The only thing Khrushchev created was disgrace, both for himself and his country.

And if you don't understand my exception to the word 'appeasement', re-read my posts.  It's pretty clear.
