Ok. Any ideas how I can get the cpu off the heatsink? It is really sticky...
Changed my friend's cpu and the cooler <3 the old CPU so much that it doesn't want to get off.

pic to show how sticky it is, lol....

me holding the cooler by grabbing the cpu with my fingers...

I do have small knife but the deal is I need that cpu right now (selling it tomorrow!) so I don't have much time or want to damage the surface of the cpu.

Mine was like that, I spent 15 mins pissing around with it, until I eventually got annoyed, grabbed a knife, and started levering it off.... it was either the glue, or the CPU that was gonna give way.......

Luckily it was the glue.

Seriously though, they arnt as fragile as you think (lol) get a screw driver and slowly and carefully lever your way all around the edge of the cpu, bit at a time, keep rotating, and it will pop off eventually.

use a hair dryer. Use low power and if that doesnt work use high.

Just lever it up, they're fairly tough things, as long as you dont touch the bottom part, lever it up with a knife, I've heard of people sanding them down before so they take a hammering.
