I have tried and tried to log onto the sever when the game first starts up and it won't connect. Is this a usual occurance? The number 2 just sits there and spins and spins and there is a message that reads 'Connecting to account server". That screen never changes.
yeah, I have been having that too. cannot log into the account server either. maybe EA is doing some maintenance. check out the official sites.

Same here it wont connect to the account server. It happen the other night aswell
it's just EA/gamespy's friendly way of telling us their customer service sucks.
I just finished about 1,5 hours of playing. Account servers seem to be up again.
