start the first sentence, memorize it, go to the second sentence and memorize it, but each time u try to memorize the second sentence, u have to repeat the first. when u get to the third, u have to repeat the first and second. its kind of like pyramid progression, the starting text will be the strongest and the later text the weakest, so ull have to spend a bit more time on the last bit, but itll get u through what u have to memorize pretty easily.

if u realize u are weak on a certain area, while memorizing something constantly force yourself to go back to that one sentence thats giving you trouble, soon you'll get it down.

no time to fix the spelling boys, i have class

Read it before you go to bed tonight.
It's been proven that the last thing you read at night is retained in your sleep.
Let me know if it works for you.

I would write it out a few times, each time going over it outloud - usually works for me.

For my german exam, i recorded me saying it once, then left it playing over and over again whilst I was on the computer.

Seemed to work.

Um, the only advice I can offer is how I learn lines;

Cut it into chunks (or paragraphs)

Start with your first chunk; keep saying it over and over until and can say it without looking, (do it line by line if necessary)

Once you've memorised your first chunk, start on the next chunk but make sure you keep going over the part you've already memorised. i.e.

You're first chunk consists of "A, B & C" (which you've memorised) and the next chunk consists of "D, E & F." So when you're learning "D, E & F" make sure you go over "A, B & C" before it. So it would go "A, B, C, D" then "A, B, C, D, E" and finally "A, B, C, D, E, F." You've learnt two chunks. (The letters obviously represent sentences.)

Rinse and repeat. That's the best way I could explain it.

So if you need to learn it by tomorrow, how long ago was the assignment given to you?

I would of told my teacher it's ridiculous to learn a 200 word passage in one day.

Oh I was cool. How I was cool...

I learnt my French one on the day for my mocks Just read it, try and remember what you can, and read it outloud to someone else. Then when you go wrong they can tell you when you do. Do this about 10 or so times. Also, shouldn't you get a prompt card of some sort? That allows you to write shit down so you can remember less?

I've split it up and learned the 4 main first sentences of the 4 paragraphs. I'm halfway there 100 / 200 words I'm pretty confident with now.

Well considering you need it by tomorrow, you obviously started way too late.

What you should do is record yourself saying it and listen to it over and over again, especially while you're sleeping. And when you're awake and listening to it, say it along with the recording.

For one of my classes many years ago we had to do a lip-sync to a song. I chose Albuquerque by Weird Al because it was so funny and I knew the other kids would get a kick out of it. But the song is 11 minutes long and had 6 pages of lyrics. So what I did is put it on repeat and listened to it while I slept, and listened to it whenever I was awake and sang along with it. It was quite easy, subliminal messaging is where it's at.

I write it out, over and over again.

For me to learn something, i have to physically do it, i can't just read it.

Give it a go, you find after a while it just sinks in!

-edit.

I learnt my GCSE German Presentation in 1 hour doing this.

1 hour before the exam that is.
