Okay, so the situation with Kosovo still has not been resolved by last year's deadline. The UN is still running the country even after they said that they were going to leave. Obviously, that has not happened.

Much to type ... but my shoulder is bothering my whole arm, so I will let the BBC do the work for me.

I supposed they're too preoccupied with tennis to worry about that now.

Unfortunately I think neither candidate will be capable of having the rest of the world chop part of their country off as a reward for immigration in large numbers to a particular locale. The only hope is Russia.

Didn't Kosovo recently elect their own leaders, and supposedly these leaders are really into the whole Kosovan Independence thing.

Few explenations. Its EU vs Russia again. Like Ukraine if Im not mistaken?
Anyway its not just about Kosovo. The so called ultra nationalist (Serbian Radical Party) won the first round of elections with 39.4% of votes but its not guaranteed that they will win the second. The democrats got 35.4% but will get support from few other parties that won 4 or 5%. But its also expected that the turnout of the supporters of the Radical Party will be much higher than the supporters of democrats. So everything is possible in second round.
Both sides oppose Kosovo independence but the Serbian Radical Party opposes it more strongly and is not interested in joining EU in any case - regardless of the outcome of Kosovo. They are for a strong alliance with Russia that they see as their Orthodox Brothers. Leader of the party Seselj is on trial for warcrimes in Hague and a lot of members of the party have been involved in the wars. Because of that and since they would probably stop any cooporation with the Hague, they would distance them selves miles away from EU.

But regardless of who wins the election, no one will be able to stop Kosovo from becoming independent. So its basically EU vs Russia (who is going to exploit them more). In case of another cold war, Serbia will become new Cuba. Serbian Missile Crisis

What is really really ironic is that if the Radicals win, it would help Bosnia a lot. So if I could vote I would vote for the same fucks that got us in this shitty situation in the first place

Why would the Radicals help you in Bosnia? Why doesn't Bosnia join the EU?

Well for one, there is this financial aid package that EU and bunch of other countries allocate to developing countries in the balkans, and there are also numerous grants and loans for private business and stuff that countries give individually (most notably Germany). Serbia is also part of that group that receives this aid, but with Radicals in power they would no more qualify for that aid since they would probably stop corporation with EU an many levels. It has already been confirmed by EU and many other organizations that the amount of money will stay the same, which means that that Serbian part of those aid packages will be divided between rest of the countries. And that is shit loads of money.

Also, Im hoping it will create some tension between Serbia and Republic of Srpska (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_Srpska).
If they go their separate ways politically it would mean a lot.
