I've already failed a test at uni. I blame Surgeons. I got quite high in the others though, so it's not all bad. I failed my mock A levels miserably, and my mock As levels and my mock GCSE's I also did quite bad. When I get my head down, that's when the magic happens.

Otherwise I'm just a wasteman.

Jesus christ, failing an open book exam?

Did you have the right book?
Not at uni?
Open book is just an excuse to make the exams fucking impossible. If you don't know your shit having a book there is not going to help.

As for failing, I've never failed anything I've attended. Though there have been some times when I just haven't turned up :s

Exactly what I have always thought as well....Every open book exam I have taken at the university have been a lot more difficult then the stuff we have done at the theoretical exercises.

I have never ever failed any exam in my life including the 32 exams i have taken in the last 4 years at the university, but after looking through the solution for this exam I am pretty sure I have failed it. If I am really really lucky then I may get a 2 (the lowest passing grade in Denmark), but I don't think that i will....I will get the answer in about a month or so!!

I have no idea what the hell went wrong, I just fucked up i guess. Anyway if I have failed it, the reexamination is in august, sigh.

Have you ever failed anything?

To show what  kinda of course I failed I will give an example from the exam:

One of four problems:

Construct molecule A from 3-carbon skeletons. Show the mechanism for C to D

And explain how to make B into C.

Yeah I loved organic chemistry back at high school level...heck I loved it at uni as well....but this exam was just hard, because there was so many things you had to keep in mind, so many possible ways to do each step, but only one that is truly correct because the others would not be the major product or they will include side reactions.

But I just fell so bad doing so poorly on an exam....it sucks

Sounds like my physics. I failed a year twice, it sucks but you'll get over it anyway. You haven't failed anything yet so it isn't that much to worry about, go and have some fun and don't be too sad about it ; better luck next time :0

Well err...

I don't think I can say anything positive then, that fucking sucks. I'll just hope you might've passed it although you indicate that's pretty unlikely.

It was hard dude! Today in class the teacher acknowledged it was a son of a bitch. He said he was burning out reading/grading our exams, and when he got to our responses to his John Adams question (who we didn't learn much about) it was just downhill from there.

I don't really feel bad about doing badly on the exam but rather, possibly making the teacher feel like I don't care. Cause he's a pretty cool guy (eh teaches history and doesn't afraid of anything)

Tbh I was fucking stupid when I signed up for this year.

I chose physics, natural sciences, maths B1 (second to hardest) and all that kinda crap while I could've just taken History, Geography and all the laid back subjects which I could revise a day before the test and still pass.

I suck at deciding what to do in school, wish I could turn back 7 months and stop myself from being so stupid. It's extremely hard, and especially because I'm a lazy fuck and hardly keep up with my schoolwork, so I phail at exact subjects like the ones I chose. dayum.

First, the expression is "lo and behold"

Second, yes. I remember how depressed I was when I failed my first assignment/quiz/test. I've got such high standards, and I'm not even azn like cowami.

Heh, don't worry about failing an exam... it's not that big a deal.
I failed loads of stuff in my life. I started out studying Advanced Technology, but then I failed at everything. EVERYTHING. No wait, I passed one of the courses. So what. I switched to something else. I still fail shit sometimes but that's mostly because I just can't be arsed to give a fuck. When it really matters, I always pass. But most of the time I just go 'meh', don't study at all and barely pass. In fact, I should be studying right now. Instead, I'm going to play some Oblivion. Yeh.

I guess my problem is that I just can't take school seriously. I've got better stuff to do than focus on my education. I just don't care.

I failed a paper once because my teacher was a liberal, and I took a conservative view on the topic.  When I got it back I though "What the fuck? I wrote on topic, made my arguments in a logical manner and backed them up,and did everything else I was supposed to."  I even took a copy of it (exactly the same with no editing), and the assignment sheet to another teacher and had her look it over and give me what the rough grade should be on the assignment and was told that it should have been in the B+ to A- range.

After that I did my next two papers with a liberal view and got high B's, and for my fourth and final paper, I wrote in the same manner but took a conservative view, and was once again failed, so I repeated the process I had take with the first paper.  This time, at the end I told the teacher why I was doing it and what was going on, and even took it to the dean of students.  Unfortunately the bastard teacher was on tenure, so nothing could be done to him.

Pft, I couldn't even fail any classes if I tried now.. B's in both of them, I'm happy with that.

I'm done, I did my final project for my Law 12 class today, worth 20 % of my grade.

Done History 12, I have the choice if I want to write a Provincial Exam worth 40 %, but I don't need it for my post-secondary school, so I'm not taking it.

So while one half of my class was studying for the Prov Exam, me, and the other half of the class was doing jack shit, I just ended up listening to music, drawing and playing cards the whole class..

So I've got to sit around listening to the remaining students projects in Law, and then do shit all in History until Friday.. Then I get a 1 week semester break..  Woot!

And then I'm taking Geography 12, English 12 (I fucking hate English, I'm horrible at it.).. Automotive 12, I do jack shit in that class and still get 90 % because the teacher loves me.. and Entrepreneurship 12.. All easy classes for me except English..

I've never failed a class before, Although I barely squeezed by with a Pass in French 11 and Math 11.. So glad those courses are over and done with.

Time well spent in History today.. I'm very Artistic, can't you tell? /sarcasm
