BF2S Forums First Sergeant: it's sure that i don't need esplosive badge?

if you dont have it you cant get next rank...

Look at your stats:
Next Rank: First Sergeant => you have all the required badges

My stats:
Next Rank: Master Sergeant
You are not yet eligible for the advanced rank of First Sergeant because you are missing the awards: Basic Knife Combat Badge, Basic Pistol Combat Badge.
No word of the Basic Explosives Ordinance Badge

There's a few badges you DO NOT need to become FS, most of the ones you DO need are combat badges, that's 'basic' combat badges. Don't make the mistake that some do and get your basic and veteran knife badge in the same round .. it recognises the vet badge first, so you lose out on FS and go straight to MS (this goes for pistol as well). I'm sure you have all the badges you need to progress to FS and if the STATS page say you'll get FS, then FS you'll get .

I have all my basic combat badges but I'm also missing some badges, they are the ones I don't need to become FS... they are, explosives ordinance, command and resupply badges. However, I may need these badges to progress up another rank.... which in time, I'll go for

Yup,you need all the Basic Infantry,that means all combat badges + knife and pistol badges.
When you have all basics + 500 global hours you get the combat infantry medal,all veteran badges = marksman infantry medal and finally all expert combat badges = sharpshooter infantry medal.

I'm sure that I'm missing the basic explosive badge and my stats page says I'm gonna be First Sergeant.

As am I... and also on track for First Sergeant

@ atlvolunteer. I'm pleased that it's not an issue any more. I posted elsewhere where someone got Master sergeant instead of First Sergeant... and to be honest, when I checked his stats for him (like he couldn't do it himself ) .. he'd got his basic and veteran knife badge at exactly the same time.... I think it was yesterday or the day before, anyhoo... he wasn't sure if he'd got them before he reached global score of 20k... so I'd mentioned about the 'basic veteran badge glitch'. I also pointed out that anyone that's very close to 'ranking up' and wants the next rank (First Sergeant), should really be checking their stats BEFORE reaching the global score just to make sure they had the appropriate badges...... phew, pause, deep breath in.

As an added point, if I check my own stats using Bf2s...it says I will be First Sergeant next promotion, however, when I look on my own stats page on BF2, it says next rank will be Master Sergeant... This is where things get a bit nervy... who do I believe... I'm more inclined to think that Chuy's site is right on the button... and going on EA's latest performances... I think they're off the mark somewhat
