Someone I know bought a X1650, but he has a problem when he powers his computer.

Anyone have a clue?

Thought so too, but he can't read what's written on his psu.. Looking for other possible solutions.
At the same time is there a free program for knowing what power supply you have?
Freezer7Pro
I don't come here a lot anymore.

No. There isn't. The PSU is an analog device that isn't connected to the motherboard with more than a power cable.

Anyhow, check that all cables are attached to the card and that there are no parts that have come off (Cooler loose, small tubes have falle n off etc).
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Belarc Advisor might be able to give you something, but I'm not sure...

No, as Freezer said, it's impossible to know unless the person knows.  The computer can't tell you.

I don't know, he just told me something about cables not being hooked up and now it works.
