Prologue:
This is the first of hopefully many weekly installments of hypothetical military situations for discussion on tactics, strategy, force capabilities, etc.
NOTE: This is supposed to bizarre. Dont point out the unlikeliness, its simply an opportunity to chat, discuss, strategize, etc.
Situation 001: The United War
Aug. 21, 2008
Following the successful deployment of a nuclear device in Chicago, the source of the device is traced to the United States' most trusted ally: The United Kingdom. In the wake of over 300,000 dead, the UK immediately declares war on the US, stating the US' incredible disregard for international law and global diplomacy has left it no choice but to act . NATO pledges its neutrality, but as an act of caution US bases in Europe are shut down. Soon afterward several European nations side with the US. With the UN speechless, the world waits. Soon Canada agrees to lend bases and supplies to the US in exchange for protection from any UK attack. The North Atlantic is thrown into the United War.
