yeah you might not have one and it might change a lot, but what the hell.

edit: almost forgot: please, don't insult anybody's song. you don't have to like it or even listen to it, but try to keep your comments neutral. a special request for the mods: try to keep these comments out of here, i'll be sure to report em.

heres mine:

Apollo I: The Writing Writer
by Coheed and Cambria
on Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness
...damn thats a long album name, interestingly enough, ranked 69/200 by guitar world for best album for guitar or something like that.

nice. never heard the vengaboys or scooter, and the only band I've never really taken a liking to up there is maroon 5, although they don't suck.

edit: same to you canadian, now that i've finished listening .

Hard to pick one.

Three Days Grace - Animal I've Become (If I listened to radio, I'd probably hate it by now. Thank God I don't.)
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son
Marvin Gaye - Inner City Blues
Bob Dylan - Shelter From The Storm*

Decided on this instead of Jimi Hendrix - The Wind Cries Mary

You should have read what I wrote, instead of only seeing the word hate, and assumed I hated it. I said If I'd listen to the radio I would hate it, only because radio manages to replay the same few songs until most people are sick of them, before the station moves onto another hand full of songs.

First things first -- the greatest song ever by the greatest band ever recorded at the greatest performance ever.  Do yourself a favor and maximize it on your screen.  I hunted down the hi-def version at Stage6 so it looks good.  If you're not a fan, still probably some chills down the spine at 6:36+.  If you are a fan, maybe some tears of joy too.  It's almost as good as being there.  Shut your eyes and imagine what it was like with every light in the house on that giant mirror.  Without further ado:

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb, live, 1994, P-U-L-S-E, Earls Court - London
http://www.stage6.com/Metal-Gods/video/ … tably-Numb

Other recommendations:
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here, live, 1994, P-U-L-S-E, Earls Court - London
http://www.stage6.com/Metal-Gods/video/ … -Were-Here

Pink Floyd - The Great Gig in the Sky, live, 1994, P-U-L-S-E, Earls Court - London
http://www.stage6.com/Metal-Gods/video/ … In-The-Sky

Now on to other stuff...

To the guys above talking about the dirtiest song in years... Check out Metallica's "So What" on youtube.  It's got that rap song beat by a mile.

A song is a great song/video if it elicits emotion.  Here are a few others that get me going and bring back a lot of memories.

Norman Greenbaum - Spirit in the Sky

House of Pain - Jump Around

Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight (video from Miami Vice)

Shinedown - Simple Man (original is by Lynyrd Skynyrd, this is the best version I've ever heard or seen)

And what kind of favorites list would this be if it didn't have a show tune on it...
"Your Eyes" - RENT, original Broadway cast --- dumb vid, but best sound of ones I found... Saw this on Broadway on a trip to NYC like 10 years ago... amazing show, great music...
