Red Dot > Acog, even for a "Marksman".

ACOG sucks no matter what.
G3 - Less recoil, less damage
M14 - More damage, more recoil.

Why on Earth would you use an Acog?
ACOG's suck balls... maybe, and only maybe, and only for the sake of pissing people off, would you put an acog on a P90. But really, RDS >> ACOG every time.
Coming from a cal/cevo league player, what i would do in your situation if i could choose only one of the two guns:
G3/attachment- RED DOT
Perks:
Bandolier
Stopping Power
Deep impact
That should kill 2 shots, in rare instances 3.
But, the two best guns in the game are MP5 and M4. MP5 when youre trying to plant a bomb in a place full of buildings and streets, or M4 in the medium-ish range, far range, and sometimes even close range. (Use same perks as in the g3 kit)
If you were to pick from either MP5 or M4 to master completely, M4 would be the way to go, because it can be used in a lot more situations.
IF YOU WANNA BE A MARKSMAN, USE ONE OF THE SNIPER RIFFLES. M21 = M14 WITH NO RECOIL.

I would absolutely use the G3 with the ACOG, the M14 has way way way way too much recoil on it.
Yes I know that the RDS is better...i just needed an opinion. I just have a spare custom class that I just wanted to fill out. I know how to use all the guns correctly btw (+i have all gold guns save the Uzi ;P) . I'll usually use my M4 w/ double tap and usually get good results, but for some instances other guns come into play (ie G3 w/acog).
One more thing, if anybody ever wants to use an acog on a gun...put it on the g36 (no scope drift what-so-ever). Anyways, all ive been doing for the past few days is deagle sniping

I like the ACOG, as well as the Skorpion with RD or ACOG. It's got good control, hear ye worthless flamers.
On that note, try the two guns in separate classes and swap them out every 10-15 minutes. Whatever has a better "feel" is what you should use. Personally, I'd go for the M14.

Pros and Cons
G3 Pros
Very little recoil (Unlike real life)
Is rather discrete (Doesn't make that distinctive 'give away position' sound the M14 does)
G3 Cons
Doesn't hit as hard as the M14 (3 shot kill, to the M14's 2 shot).
Doesn't shoot as fast (Unless you have double tap, and yes there is a delay).
Takes 0.25 seconds longer to reload.
Medium penetration, while M14 has max penetration (So bassically deep impact doesn't change anything on the M14).
M14 Pros
Only good players can use it (which means if you're a poor marksman you're not going anywhere with the M14, like the BAUR in BF2142)
Reloads faster
Is a sniper rifle with a 20 round clip
Kills in 2 shots with or without stopping power (If the guy has jugernaught then it'll take one more bullet, but I wouldn't take SP if I were you, take UAV jammer or something else)
Has maximum penetration without deep impact (bug?)
Zooms in further when in 'sights mode'
Has better accuracy without steady aim (Though I highly recommend SA if you want to be up close).
Less deviation with ACOG
M14 cons
Very loud (tells shotty whores "I'm the Marksman, come kill me (( but other players will fear this))
High recoil (But you can compensate, try an ACOG on it so you don't miss often at long range)
Takes 0.1 seconds (I think) longer to pull out the weapon when you have something else out)

well i like to play with the G3 with RDS on hardcore mode and bandolier or 3 frag nades, fast reloading and deep impact or something like that...

K guys, i'm not a noob...I know how to effectively use all guns considering I have have logged over 7 days in game. All i needed is an opinion on which is better with an ACOG, not which rifle is better ( in OP i meant to say which gun is better with an ACOG >_< so my bad).
BTW ACOGs don't suck ass. It takes a while to get used to, but once you know how its gonna react when you fire it, you learn to adjust. Hell, try using an ACOG on either a G36 or M4. You should be pleasantly surprised at the results:
