Sit in a building 800 metres away. Watch TV with a gun not in sight. Then as the live news reports from the speech, go over to the window and take aim. Fire, duck down and leave the building.

You'd have to be a decent shot to do it, but if you're acting alone all the counter intelligence in the world can't stop you. Unless the secret service have mind reading devices nowadays.

lol. It's funny how the big massive vast expanse of redneck wilderness between New York, Chicago and Los Angeles are all red states... California, New York and northern Illinois are not generally renowned as centres of redneck heritage...

It is funny to think how us people here in "Fly-over territory" (which is how a lot of people in NY, LA, and such think of the rest of us) regard us.  As not quite real.  Because, of course, if you are not in a major metropolitan area of tens of millions of people, you must not be smart enough to pack up and move yourself to someplace more civilized like a city with a coastline and a major superiority attitude.

Cameron.  I now you have visited the US, but I would kindly ask that you not draw such massive conclusions based on nearly no evidence.  Most all of us are not rednecks, and I am saying this living in Texas, of all places.  I voted for Bush because, as bad as he is, a liberal like Kerry or Hillary would be [i]worse[i].  Maybe not from your point of view, but you don't live here.

Oh, and I would only fear Obama being assassinated if Hillary were his vice-president.

My comment was 99% joke and 1% seriousness. It was just a response to the_mac's patently ridiculous claim. Personally I would imagine the real hick vote most probably goes entirely to the Republican Party as most hicks are strong believers in the right to bear arms, which the RP is strong on. I know a genuine hick when I see one, I lived in Wisconsin Dells in rural Wisconsin for three months.

I don't mean to come off as racist or anything, but the President of the United States is a guy named Barack Hussein Obama?  Come on, now.
I can see it now, Obama vs. Osama.
It just bothers me, tbh.
Shocking
sorry you feel that way

You think that's bad?

What you have to worry about more is Hilldog or McCain vs Osama. Yes then we're fucked.

Haha yeah true.

I just don't see where Obama has had that much political experience compared to the other candidates, excluding Clinton of course, I won't even go there.

Well Obama has a hell of alot more qualities than those two have. It isn't always experience which counts, and throughout history which always had it's exceptions. Obama could very well be one of these. All this experience is bullcrap if you look at how the other candidates are, with their '20-30+ years of experience' in my personal opinion they haven't learned half of what Obama has learned in his short years.

Actually, the majority of people commonly considered "hicks" or "rednecks" live in the South...predominantly the Southeast. Those states often go Democrat in the general elections due to the phenomenon of "Southern Democrats". They are essentially conservatives who vote Democrat "'cause that's what their Daddy done".

I shit you not.

And if your experience is based only on having lived in Wisconson, you don't know what a real hick is.

I'm not that crazy about either of the democratic candidates so far, tbh, and I'm not really pleased with the republican ones, either.  Oh well..

Me neither, but out of all three Obama seems to be the best choice, Hilldog and McCain would both ruin the country. Literaly.

I don't think that McCain would be that bad but I just really don't like Obama.
I guess the fact that I'm a conservative republican would contribute to that. ^.^

The majority of the Republican vote comes from those who wish to protect their money, because they have it.

There's a reason why "impoverished" areas and illegal aliens vote Democratic.
