assuming you mean human civilization, it's going to be soon. we've done pretty much nothing to stop global warming, and whether or not its manmade or natural its going to wipe out most of the world's major cities, destroy populations, and pretty much send us into a state of military rule and chaos.

I've actually done a lot of reading about this. Life as we know it will be gone in about 300,000 years. The Earth will become another rock floating in space. We are actually near the end of a planet life cycle or what is theorized. If you want to continue...the Sun will eventually die and when that happens Earth will either be swallowed into the sun and exploded into dust as our sun self destructs or Earth will be pushed out of its orbit and sent out into space. The ultimate ending will be....no matter what the Earth ends up being...all of us and our dust will be swallowed up into the black hole at the center of our galaxy ending where nothing escapes. The end.....wrap your head around that.
When the Sun can no longer support Earths orbit. Duh.
around 5.4 billion years from now when the sun runs out of hydrogen. actually a little longer, maybe another billion years, as earth will likely remain in orbit after the sun collapses. earth wont actually be destroyed until the heluim fusion cycle, at which point the sun will expand and possibly envelop earth.
by then there will be no significant life on earth as the moon will have drifted away hundreds of millions of years prior. helium fusion will radiate enough heat to burn off any remaining atmosphere and evaporate all water off the surface of the earth. the earth, and our little solar system will die. everything comes to an end.

I honestly don't think the human race will ever end, unless some unforseen phenomena wipes out Earth in the next 1000 years. Even a nuke war wouldn't wipe out all humans...some would survive.
In 5000 years, we'll be traveling to other solar systems. There'll be over 200 billion humans. Humans will be so farly dispersed throughout the universe that it'd be impossible to destroy the entire race, unless like I said, some unforseen phenomena (gamma rays, universe collapsing, humans become infertile, etc) happens.
