so i bought special forces on ea downloader back in '05, but me and my friend want to play together on sf. he has it downloaded on his comp (from my ea downloader account) but we can't play at the same time. i have a special forces cd key, so is there a way that he could change his cd key so that we could play at the same time?

Run the 'Battlefield 2 Special Forces_code.exe', input the new key and you two can wreak hell!

I'd take an image of my monitor to show you the program, but my Print Screen key is broken. But I double-clicked and it opened for me. Maybe your friend will have better luck. Happy fraggin! Thanks for the karma.

Anyone got a solution that doesn't involve reinstalling then?

Tried the exe in BF2 folder but it just goes away when you click 'next' and i still can't join SF servers...

Same here. I tried re-inputting my serial numbers, and clicked next. It accepted. So I'm repatching atm, progress report soon.

Things are looking bad! It says my cd-key is not valid. Crudders, could the same be for BF2???

Okay, vanilla works. I'll try restarting and letting EA sort things out on their side. I have faith in them, after all, they made BF2.

I made a little mistake in the SF re-input by putting in the Euro Forces key! Doh, my bad. Tried re-inputting actual SF key and repatching again.

No message pops up if it's a success, but you get a warning message if it's wrong, so all is well. Just repatch to 1.41.

Okay, no cigar with SF. Gonna have to uninstall and re-install. Curiosity hurt the gamer.

EA support has come through for me! For those of you who can't play SF anymore, just uninstall and reinstall SF! Repatch and you can game.

Cyrax, you needed EA support to tell you to uninstall and reinstall? I thought you were smarter than that...
