1) Console games have progressed to a level of complexity where certain games do come out that are both laggy and crashy.Jenspm wrote:
consoles:
1)+ all games work (no more "is my PC good enough?", and games like crysis that don't work )
2)+ Put in game -> Play
3)+ More friend-friendly (playing XBox 360 together > playing together on 1 PC.)
4)- Not upgradable
- Console Specific games (ie - no GT5 for XBox 360)
PC:
+ Customizable, upgradable
5)+ Mouse + Keyboard
+ More games
6)- Fucking software issues
7)- Lag
8)- Some games just don't work (easy to patch...)
2) See 1, or unless your console breaks and you have to send it to the shop to avoid breaking warranty.
3) Playing together on 2 PC's > playing splitscreen on the same unit
4) Actually, there are console upgrades here and there.
5) Unless I heard wrong, you can also use these interface methods with consoles.
6) Consoles are not completely innocent, though are generally cleaner.
7) Sacrifices you make for higher video quality than consoles. Texture sizes are shrunk or deleted to get games to fit on the PS3, for example.
8) Some of it is the fault of the consumers for not being skeptical enough of the products they buy. I know I've my share of buggy, crashy duds, but they're by far outnumbered by operational titles.
