I would rather get shot with a nail gun TWICE then watch soccer. . . . what a boring sport being played by overpaid pussy premadonnas!!
How can anyone not like watching the Super Bowl??? Its the biggest spectacle in human professional sport (It is way better than the world cup final anyday of the week)!
Anyway. . . . I hope its a good game, I hope Eli Manning doesnt buckle under the spotlight today!! Judging by his gene's he shouldnt (Archie and his brother Payton were/are calm and collected quarterbacks). I would laugh my ass off if the Pats lost today, it would be the biggest CHOKE in the history of the NFL. To go 18-0 and then blow it in the biggest game of their lives would be great (I dont think its gonna happen though!).

SourceFrom:
http://worldsoccer.about.com/cs/worldcup/a/wcupnews.htm
we see that the total viewership for the 2002 World Cup was 28.8 billion. There were 64 games at the World Cup giving an average of 450million viewers per match.
The statistics from
http://www.nielsenmedia.com/.../WorldCup_Final.htm
were not indicative of total global viewership, as it clearly states that the only countries included in the survey were:
Australia, Canada, China, Finland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States.
Taking into account that most of the largest football viewing markets in the world, such as Brazil, Argentina, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, as well as the rest of Latin America and most of Africa and the Middle East, were excluded from this survey, the actual number of viewers of Wordl Cup matches would definitely greatly exceed the numbers stated in the survey.
Rooting for the Giants, for a couple reasons (I'm not a huge football fan)
1. They're the underdogs
2. NY is cool
3. They can actually pick a state, unlike the "New England" Patriots

hate to break it, but the Giants are in fact located in New JerseyHome wrote:

so you can cross 2 and 3 off your list
I think it's kind of weird how it still isn't being broadcasted in 1080i yet. I looked on Wikipedia and it says it's being broadcasted in 720p.
the people of new england used to root for the giants until massachusettes got a team, i wish we had multiple close teams, that way tickets wouldnt be so fucking expensive. Sox, Bruins, and Celtics tickets are ridiculous, its cheaper to fly to Toronto and stay for a 3 day series than to go to a single game at Fenway and pay for parking

I can't say I enjoy watching the bowl much, or any other sport for that matter... I just don't get my jollies from watching sports, other than the World Cup.
I mainly watch for the commercials.

They play in New Jersey. They pick a state, but it is not the right state. The Patriots picked a general area, and they play in the general area they claim to be from.Home wrote:

omg halftime show!
3-7 Pats
Patriots offensive line is kind of getting their asses handed to them. Good game so far, though. I think the Patriots will be playing much better after halftime with the usual Belichick halftime adjustments.
