Jepeto raises a good point I neglected to mention. Egypt has willingly made itself the US's bitch by accepting shitloads of aid from them. The fact that they signed a peace agreement with Israel in order to get the Sinai back also means their hands are effectively tied with respect to militarily assisting the Palestinians, but let's not forget that they did in fact at least have a go in 1967 and again in 1973.

Ironically the only government militarily assisting the Palestinians today is not even Arab - Iran.
