It'll never happen again. They say that Russian workers at their plants had to work to stop the system from blowing up, whereas most others had to work to stop their system shutting itself down. Which speaks volumes as to how they designed their plants.
Besides, in todays age. Where you have a supercomputer monitoring every single tiny variable from the core temp to the bathroom toilet water level, I don't think you'd ever get another explosion. Worst case scenario would be the system shuts itself down because things were getting 0.5% out of control or something.

It shut down because the control rods that absorb neutrons got jammed, this caused massive overheating and shit, then bombs were a dropping.

They had a show on Discovery or History channel that talked about this. they counted down the last hours until explosion. like what might have actually happened with the ppl and shit. its a pretty old show tho.
At least they can't be nuclear explosions.
