I know what most of you will say, but yes. I have checked the pinned topic about this and it doesn't answer my question. I have also checked Total BF2, and it didn't help. So, I'll get down to it. What I'm asking you guys is what file I have edit to get this:

You got an ammo giving point! (1)
You killed ________! (2)

So, if you haven't noticed it. What I'm asking is when I get do something to receive points, and then it shows up on the left hand side I want there to be a little number beside what explains what you did, showing you how many points you got for doing that thing. I don't want to change the names of anything to like:

You totally ownz0red _____, gr8 job m8 u did me proud!

No, I don't want that kinda stuff. I'm just asking for the simple thing. I'm also a really big noob at editing files like this, so pin pointed instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Edit English.utxt with Notepad.

When I replaced my old ones with yours and tried to "Save" NOT "Save As", I got this:
"Cannot create the C:/Program Files/EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/Mods/bf2/Localization/English/English.utxt file.
Make sure the path and filename was correct"

Do I just save it as a text document, or?

You just save it with CTRL + S.

If the problem persists, copy the file and paste it on your desktop. Edit it to your liking, then drag the file into the Localization folder. It should work.

It wasn't working because I wasn't on the admin account. So I went onto the admin account and did the changes and then saved it and when I went back onto my account and went into the game and killed someone, it just showed up as:

You killed _____!

Without the number thing..?

Make sure you didnt put your Local files backups in the same folder... or subfolder

Ok, I got it to work, everything shows the number except for when I kill somebody. Can someone tell me what I have to edit to make it look like this:

You killed _____! (2)

Oh, administrator rights, I forgot all about those. o.o It's so easy being sole user of this comp.

As for the kill message, it's some lines from the others. I'll post mine up.

HUD_CHAT_YOUGOTAKILLSCORE You killed §C1001#PLAYERNAME#§C1001! (§C1001+2§C1001)
