Just wondering, I was hearing my Dad saying that if he became President, there would be a good chance of assassination attempts put on Obama, because of his skin colour.

As a domestic job, ANY democrat president would have more reason to fear assassination because the ones that do that stuff are on the neocon side of politics. Being black, being a woman, being gay, just being liberal is plenty of reason to be targeted by them red nuts. Bummer it didn't work the other way, we'd have had fewer years of Bush if it did!
Specifically, I don't think anti-black sentiment is greater than anti-female sentiment regarding a US president. Both sentiments embarrass me as an American.
