i plugged my laptop into the tv and the wireles keyboard onto a 46'

and now i need to know how to get the sound to play out of the tv and not the laptop

I Assume you have an HDTV with a VGA In jack(Usually, blue, 3 rows of 5 pins)

On the TV, beside the VGA jack should be another one, it should be small, round, and Green. That's the Audio jack, go out and buy yourself a MALE-MALE 3.5MM Cable

Plug one end into your laptop HEADPHONE out jack, and the other end into the green one mentioned earlier. Turn TV Volume up, and rock out.
