Don't feel like playing anymore but still think how awesome BF2 is?

I don't know why, but last time i played bf2 a while back for a month or so i just ended up doing very little other than mucking about not really playing for kills etc. But i still think back of how amazing the game was for the previous 2 years. I miss it so much yet when i play it it's not up to what it was for some reason.

perhaps its just me though

Well bf2 is one of those games wich lives a long time, and i feel 3 years to be long time for one game.

3 years ago: 1 "Yo what do you usually play" 2 "well i just bought bf2 and il try it today "

I miss the days, when there was no IO and you could Tank Whore Karkand and had Sharqi on every server rotation....

But i still think the game is awesome - and i still love to play it.

I've dedicated too much time to it to stop playing it entirely. Besides, I have picked up other FPS and the basic premise is the same. Only the graphics change. So I stick to what I like and save a few bucks in the meantime. I have bought a few stand-alone FPS games that ended far too quickly or had a weak story. At least with BF2, there is the element of change as you are playing against other live players that are less predictable than the AI bots. Maybe I need a new genre.

for sure, ive been kinda swept away by WoW for a couple months but as i stated in a post earlier today, when im lil bored of quests and pvp i find bf2 an exciting prospect. albeit, some rounds do suck so bad and remind why i stopped playing so much, but a prime example was on saturday afternoon;

I had a spare hour or so and jumped on, the round was going ok (karknade), teams are about even on ticks and i was leading. But i teamed up with some random colonel who joined and had an AT kit, even tho we didnt use voip and id never seen him before we had an understanding of exactly what to do. and from there we proceeded to destroy the other team (captains, colonels, 2 stars and random ranks) and run away with victory along with a pretty serious amount of points and great k/d's. I laughed for the best part of that round due to my AT rocket sniping colonel friend who ruined ak47/m16/36e toting enemys head on with his pistol and DAO12, it was the most amount of BF2 fun id had in months, and that alone reminded its still the most epic game ive ever played up til this point in my gaming life

My clan shut down our server in august bc we couldnt get it populated any more. i, including most of the others have moved on, bc we dont feel the comradery in playing bf2. i just wish a bf3 would come out and not get fucked in the ass by whiners.

Still play it. Not quite as often anymore. But i also hope that BF3 doesnt get ass-raped by whiners. You cant hop, or dive, or camp, or attack uncap, or anything fucking else.

Worst BF2 servers: BS wet dream and their other ones. They are the kings of Whine.
