My point was that anyone will walk around a city's downtown when they are there. But do you honestly think New York would function the same without cars? Would LA? Would any major U.S. city?
You don't need to be so arrogant. It makes you look elitist.
I'm all up for legalization of weed.
WTF has walking/driving in a modern age city have anything to do with the topic? You've shown that your a right berkely hunt throughout this thread, stop while your ahead and eat a frisbee.nukchebi0 wrote:

If you read the thread, you would see how the discussion of walking and driving started.

Fail.
Ive read this thread, and witnessed some of the most retarded posting ive ever seen on the internet, most specifically, you. KEN-JENNINGS said it right when he asked you to make a argument with logic and fact. Please, try this someday, you might be pleasently suprised at the results.
Heres hoping you get bottled in the face by a bar full of black men when you get into an argument IRL.

As for the wish, that's just pathetic. I would have expected so much more from someone demeaning me so badly.
I suggest that you guys tone it down a bit. Granted, this is not D&ST, so babble away if you want to, but rest assured that personal attacks will not be tolerated.JET_G raidensen wrote:

That goes for everybody here.

To be on topic, I don't think that it should be legalized. It is a mind altering substance, and it can have disastrous effects on some people. It may not kill outright, but that doesn't mean it's safe. How many deaths/injuries have come about from poor decisions due to MJ?
see you really cant use your reasons to keep it illegal
Someone said before in this thread that if alcohol and tobacco were not apart of our society, and they were introduced today, they would be banned in a heartbeat. But they weren't, they've been used for centuries and are far too ingrained into us for them to be made illegal (just look at America in the 1920s, when they tried to ban alcohol). It's a bit late to be trying to get rid of alcohol/tobacco, but MJ has been illegal pretty much since it's introduction to the US. It may be less harmful overall then either tobacco or alcohol, but just because something's safer does not mean that it should be adopted. It's safer to be shot by a 9mm handgun then a rocket launcher, but when it come down to it, you're still getting shot and you're still doing damage to yourself.
If MJ was made legal tomorrow, in 30 years we could be saying "Damn marijuana, I wish we could make it illegal, but it's too ingrained in our society...."
Question #2: To the Anti-Pot crew.
Do you tell everyone that drinks caffeine on a daily basis, that they are ignorant and immature? Caffeine would be an addicting drug that serves little purpose other than to stimulate IE an "upper". It has some serious side effects made worse by it being paired with high fat, high sugar.

Suprdrgn: You are right. It is a weak argument on our side to say alcohol(which is way worse) is legal so pot should be. I agree with your some of your argument, but I don't agree with your stance.Sup3r_Dr4gon wrote:

in my opinion, video games are about 200% more addicting than marijuana. as is caffeine.
i take tolerance breaks from weed for months at a time. its used to be hard for me to go a day or 2 without a rockstar, and if i went even a day in the summer without a rockstar, i would get a MAJOR migraine and couldnt do ANYTHING...
same with video games -.-

Small amounts of tweedage is somewhat legal there.

Pot laws were formed to go after Mexican migrant workers. Harry Anslinger back in the 30's made some pretty far fetched accusations.

Along with movies like "Reefer Madness" the general public and lawmakers had all the energy needed to ban the bud. Kinda sad.

Stop trying to take the moral high ground. It just shows what a little kiddy you really are. You've been personally attacking people as much as anyone else. The word "immature" comes to mind...nukchebi0 wrote:

If you all want to smoke it up so badly then move to Amsterdam. Fully legal their. Shut up with all the BS about it being safer then alcohol, its just as bad being a gateway drug. I was at a local pizza place 2 nights ago and I was smoking(cig), and their was this kid dressed like a fucking hippie talking about making hash oil and growing medical weed. I just looked at him and told him to stfu. I have smoked and might consider smoking weed some other time, but it wont and shouldn't be legal.

You cannot recreationally (is that a word?) use hard drugs. It simply doesn't work.

I used too smoke a shit load of weed. It's "safer" than alcohol and its not very addicting at all and it should be legalized/decriminalized
I reiterate my previous statement. You anti-pot people are incredibly naive.ig wrote:
